<![CDATA[Beign-Yay Forest Green Tee]]> http://www.wearyourstory.com/beign-yay.html

A beignet (pronounced "beign-yay") is a pastry made from deep-fried dough and sprinkled with powdered sugar. Beignets are often found in, and typically associated with, the city of New Orleans, in places like Café Du Monde in the French Quarter.

If you ever go to Café Du Monde, you should get an order of beignets with extra powdered sugar, pretend to have to sneeze and then blow the powdered sugar all over your little brother or sister. They'll hate it, but you'll thoroughly enjoy yourself. And when they grow up, they'll pass the tradition along to their kids.

"Beign-Yay" is a Storyville Original, designed by LSU alumna Elizabeth Harvey and William & Mary student Bailey Thomson and Texas State student Sara Ruffin.

The t-shirt is modeled by LSU students Philip Piediscalzo, Monique Harris, Charlotte Cox, Casey Gioia and Max Zoghbi. The photos of Charlotte were taken by Jeff Roedel and the photos of Max and Casey were taken by Josh Harvey. There's also a couple photos of Jonathan Pretus of Cowboy Mouth wearing the "Beign-Yay" tee while performing at the 2009 Storyville Fashion Show in Baton Rouge. These photos were taken by Kim Foster of LSU's The Daily Reveille. The photo of Monique modeling the "Beign-Yay"dress during the 2009 Fashion in the Park Fashion Show in New Orleans was taken by Lawles Bourque.

"Beign-Yay" is printed on a forest green-colored, 100% cotton American Apparel tee with white and gold inks. Click here to see "Beign-Yay" on an infant one piece.

<![CDATA[Fleur de lis Blackout Tee]]> http://www.wearyourstory.com/fleur-de-lis-blackout.html

Back in the Spring of 2007, LSU student Jesse Wong hand drew this fleur-de-lis for Storyville. At the time, Storyville was one of several local businesses that were used as "clients" of Professor Rod Parker's senior graphic design course. Storyville lucked out and was assigned to the student team of Jesse Wong, Brandon Jantz and Mary-Margaret Shread (collectively known as Mixed Nuts).

Nearly two years later, Jesse is in Brooklyn, Mary-Margaret is in College Station and Brandon is in Dallas. But many of the graphics that were created in that LSU classroom have already been incorporated into the Storyville shops and website. And here's another one -- "Fleur-de-lis Blackout", a Storyville Original.

Fleur de lis Blackout is printed on an ultra lightweight poly-cotton blend American Apparel track shirt with gold ink. This tri-blend tee shirt is available exclusively in Storyville and is modeled by LSU student James Knobloch as well as University of Texas at Austin students Joel Rajan, Ashley Berwick and Christina Tran. There's also a photo of Red Stick Roller Derby Girl Sigourney Morrison wearing the t-shirt during the 2009 Storyville Fashion Show in Baton Rouge (photo by Kim Foster). Finally, there are a couple photos of Alicia Schulz modeling the Fleur-de-lis Blackout dress during the 2009 Fashion in the Park fashion show in New Orleans. These photos were taken by Timothy Pham of Studio Pham and Lawles Bourque.
