Whenever the LSU football team forces a turnover or gets the ball back via a defensive stop, the LSU band plays the Chinese Bandit tune. The entire stadium bows to the defense while the tune is played. The term "Chinese Bandits" originated as the nickname that LSU Coach Paul Dietzel gave to the defensive unit he organized in 1958, which helped LSU to win its first national championship. The next season, the 1959 Chinese Bandit defense held their opponents to an average of only 143.2 yards per game. No LSU defense since has done better.

Chinese Bandit is printed on a 100% cotton, sweatshop-free, made in the USA, American Apparel tee shirt. "Chinese Bandit" is modeled by SLU student Nick Backes as well as LSU students TahJah Krauss and Earl Binnings. The photo of Nick was taken by Lawles Bourque during the 2009 Fashion in the Park fashion showphotographed by Jeff Roedel.

<![CDATA[BTR (Mississippi River Bridge)]]> http://www.wearyourstory.com/btr-mississippi-river-bridge.html

"BTR" is short for "Baton Rouge", the Capital City of the Great State of Louisiana. One of the key Baton Rouge landmarks is the long bridge that connects Baton Rouge (and East Baton Rouge Parish) to Port Allen (and West Baton Rouge Parish via Interstate 10).

The bridge is officially named the Horace Wilkinson Bridge and commonly referred to as the "New Bridge" by locals since the bridge was only built in 1968. The bridge is 4,550 feet long, 80 feet wide and 1,235 feet at its longest span. This Mississippi River Bridge is truly a marvel of modern architecture and a proud Louisiana landmark.

"BTR (Mississippi River Bridge)" is printed on an ultra lightweight American Apparel athletic blue tri-blend tee (50% cotton, 25% polyester, 25% rayon) with navy ink and white highlights and is only available in both the female-specific and unisex cuts.

"BTR" features the original artwork of Rob Blumanthal of Evolinium and is produced exclusively for Storyville. The t-shirt is modeled by LSU student Charlotte Cox and photographed by Jeff Roedel. Click here to see more Storyville Originals and Exclusives.

<![CDATA[Beign-Yay Forest Green Tee]]> http://www.wearyourstory.com/beign-yay.html

A beignet (pronounced "beign-yay") is a pastry made from deep-fried dough and sprinkled with powdered sugar. Beignets are often found in, and typically associated with, the city of New Orleans, in places like Café Du Monde in the French Quarter.

If you ever go to Café Du Monde, you should get an order of beignets with extra powdered sugar, pretend to have to sneeze and then blow the powdered sugar all over your little brother or sister. They'll hate it, but you'll thoroughly enjoy yourself. And when they grow up, they'll pass the tradition along to their kids.

"Beign-Yay" is a Storyville Original, designed by LSU alumna Elizabeth Harvey and William & Mary student Bailey Thomson and Texas State student Sara Ruffin.

The t-shirt is modeled by LSU students Philip Piediscalzo, Monique Harris, Charlotte Cox, Casey Gioia and Max Zoghbi. The photos of Charlotte were taken by Jeff Roedel and the photos of Max and Casey were taken by Josh Harvey. There's also a couple photos of Jonathan Pretus of Cowboy Mouth wearing the "Beign-Yay" tee while performing at the 2009 Storyville Fashion Show in Baton Rouge. These photos were taken by Kim Foster of LSU's The Daily Reveille. The photo of Monique modeling the "Beign-Yay"dress during the 2009 Fashion in the Park Fashion Show in New Orleans was taken by Lawles Bourque.

"Beign-Yay" is printed on a forest green-colored, 100% cotton American Apparel tee with white and gold inks. Click here to see "Beign-Yay" on an infant one piece.

Storyville lucked out and was assigned to the student team of Jesse Wong, Brandon Jantz and Mary-Margaret Shread (collectively known as Mixed Nuts).

Nearly two years later, Jesse is in Brooklyn, Mary-Margaret is in College Station and Brandon is in Dallas. But many of the graphics that were created in that LSU classroom have already been incorporated into the Storyville shops and website. <![CDATA[K&B Purple Adult Tee]]> http://www.wearyourstory.com/kandb-purple.html

K&B (Katz and Besthoff) was a drug store chain headquartered in New Orleans, Louisiana. Founded in 1905, it expanded to throughout the Gulf Coast and into the hearts of New Orleanians. In 1997, K&B was bought out by Rite-Aid. Ever since, New Orleanians have secretly held a grudge against Rite-Aid.

One of the most distinctive features of K&B was its use of a particular shade of purple, which commonly became known as "K&B Purple." And with a little help from American Apparel, Storyville now proudly revives "K&B Purple" in tee shirt form.

"K&B Purple" is printed on an ultraviolet (K&B Purple colored), 100% organic cotton, sweatshop-free American Apparel tee shirt. "K&B Purple" is available in both the unisex and female-specific cut. "K&B Purple" is modeled by Meghan Montgomery and TahJah Krauss. The tee shirt was also modeled by Felipe Lopez during the fifth annual Fashion in the Park fashion show, which took place in New Orleans on May 9, 2009 (photo by Lawles Bourque).

<![CDATA[Fleur de Lis Magenta Burnout]]> http://www.wearyourstory.com/fleur-de-lis-magenta-burnout.html

We took our classic, hand-drawn fleur-de-lis by LSU alumnus Jesse Wong and slapped it on this stylish magenta (or fuchsia, or hot pink, or violet -whichever you prefer) burnout.

"Fleur de Lis Magenta Burnout" is printed on a magenta, 50% polyester, 50% cotton Alternative Apparel top with metallic gold ink.
