Product Description
Back in the Spring of 2007, LSU student Jesse Wong hand drew this fleur-de-lis for Storyville. At the time, Storyville was one of several local businesses that were used as "clients" of Professor Rod Parker's senior graphic design course. Storyville lucked out and was assigned to the student team of Jesse Wong, Brandon Jantz and Mary-Margaret Shread (collectively known as Mixed Nuts).
Nearly two years later, Jesse is in Brooklyn, Mary-Margaret is in College Station and Brandon is in Dallas. But many of the graphics that were created in that LSU classroom have already been incorporated into the Storyville shops and website. And here's another one -- "Fleur-de-lis Blackout", a Storyville Original.
Fleur de lis Blackout is printed on an ultra lightweight 50% cotton, 25% polyester, 25% rayon American Apparel track shirt with gold ink. This tri-blend tee shirt is available exclusively in Storyville and is modeled by LSU student James Knobloch as well as University of Texas at Austin students Joel Rajan, Ashley Berwick and Christina Tran. There's also a photo of Red Stick Roller Derby Girl Sigourney Morrison wearing the t-shirt during the 2009 Storyville Fashion Show in Baton Rouge (photo by Kim Foster). Finally, there are a couple photos of Alicia Schulz modeling the Fleur-de-lis Blackout dress during the 2009 Fashion in the Park fashion show in New Orleans. These photos were taken by Timothy Pham of Studio Pham and Lawles Bourque.
